⚠️
Important: Standard international roaming often doesn't work reliably in China due to the Great Firewall. You need a specialized China eSIM.
The Great Firewall Problem
China's internet censorship blocks Google, Gmail, YouTube, Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Twitter. Most standard eSIMs and international roaming provide data but don't bypass these restrictions.
EchoRoam's China Solution
Our China eSIMs route through Hong Kong servers, providing uncensored internet access without installing separate VPN software. This means:
- ✅ Google Maps works for navigation
- ✅ WhatsApp for messaging home
- ✅ Instagram & Facebook to share photos
- ✅ Gmail for business emails
- ✅ YouTube for entertainment

Installation Tips for China
Download before departure: Install your eSIM and test it while still at home. Once in China, you won't be able to download VPN apps if you didn't get our integrated solution.
